Red Osier

Red Osier
Cuttings are perfect for winter dry arrangment decorations.
Also called Red Twig Dogwood. Used by some native American tribes for basket weaving and arrow making as well as a smoking mixture (made from the inner bark). Peeled twigs are used as toothbrushes.
The bark/twigs are reddish brown to purple (burgendy) and add color to winter landscape or for season long color indoors. Bring the outdoors in. The intense vivid red stem is especially striking against evergreens. The colorful stems dry very well.
Twenty-four of these cut 12-24" are $18 (@$.75 each). Shipping and handling is included.
(You can order any time, but please be aware that we do not ship between approximately June 10 and August 15, 2010.)
